Itineraries flex around the weather, energy levels and what you are enjoying on the day. Nobody is marched through a schedule.

A day out

Somewhere worth standing still for

The itinerary is a frame, not a timetable. The best part of most days turns out to be the stop nobody was in a hurry to leave.

Your support worker drives, carries what needs carrying, keeps an eye on heat and tiredness, and handles the bits that make a day out hard to organise. Everyone comes home with a short summary of where you went and how it went, which is useful at the next plan review.

Request a day

Your day, your way

Or build the day yourself

Participants, families and support coordinators can put a day together around a participant's goals and interests. Tell us the places, the pace and the support needed, and we will plan the route, the timings and the stops.

On the coast

Burleigh, Currumbin, the Broadwater parklands and the coastal walks — flat paths, plenty of shade and somewhere to sit every few hundred metres.

In the hinterland

Mountain lookouts, rainforest walks and country cafés. Quieter, cooler, and a long way from a crowd if crowds are the problem.

Food and markets

Café hopping, the weekend markets, and cooking or baking stops along the way — the obvious one to pair with our courses.

An appointment and errands day. Not every day out is a day out. We will take you to your appointment and wait with you, do the grocery shopping together afterwards, and finish somewhere relaxing that you choose. These are priced by the hour rather than as a full day, and confirmed when you book.

Prices

What a day costs

One price for the day, whichever tour and wherever we collect you from. Support worker time on a day tour is usually funded from Core supports, under assistance with social and community participation.

Day tour prices
Service Price Notes
Tour 1, 2 or 3 — 8 hours, 1:1 support $650 per day
Any tour — 8 hours, 2:1 support $1,300 two workers
Custom tour — 8 hour minimum From $650 additions quoted
Appointment and errands day By the hour quoted on booking

What the price does not cover

Meals, entry fees and anything you buy for yourself are paid by the participant. That is not us being awkward — the NDIS funds the support, not the ordinary cost of the day, and it works the same way for any community activity. We will tell you roughly what to budget for the day you have picked before you commit to it.

Our guide to what the NDIS will and will not fund explains that split properly, and our day tours page covers the wider list of places we go, including Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast.

In the price

What every day includes

  • Your support worker for the whole eight hours, one to one
  • Transport for the day — your support worker drives
  • The same price from any pick-up point on the Gold Coast
  • The planning: route, rest stops, facilities and timings
  • A written quote before the day, and a summary afterwards
  • Self-managed, plan-managed and NDIA-managed participants welcome

How it works

From asking to being picked up

  1. You tell us the day

Which tour, roughly when, which suburb to collect from, and whether one worker is enough. The form below asks for exactly that and nothing else.

  2. We quote it in writing

Within one business day, with the price, the support item it is claimed against, and what to budget for meals and entry. Nothing is booked until you say yes to it.

  3. We plan it properly

Route, rest stops, accessible toilets, where lunch is and how long the drive between stops is. Tell us what you need and we will say plainly whether we can do it.

  4. Your worker collects you

From your door, at the agreed time, and home again at the end of it. A short summary of the day goes to you or your support coordinator afterwards.

  5. Groups are welcome

SIL houses and groups of friends can book a day together, and the cost per person drops considerably. Say so on the form and we will quote the group.

  6. Or just ring us

If it is easier to talk it through than to type it out, call and we will work out the day with you on the phone.

Common questions

Before you ask for a day

Is the price per person or for the day?
For the day, one participant, one-to-one with a support worker. $650 covers the full eight hours and the transport. Where two workers are needed it is $1,300, because it is two people's time.
Does it cost more if I live further away?
No. It is the same price from any pick-up point on the Gold Coast — Coomera to Coolangatta, it makes no difference to what you pay.
Can I use my NDIS funding for this?
Usually yes. Support worker time on a day tour is generally funded from Core supports under assistance with social and community participation. We are a registered provider, so self-managed, plan-managed and NDIA-managed participants can all use us. We will name the support item in the quote so your plan manager can check it before you commit.
Who pays for lunch and entry tickets?
You do. Meals, entry fees and personal purchases are the ordinary cost of the day and the NDIS does not fund them. Your support worker pays for their own meal, not yours — that is on us, not you.
What if the day does not go to plan?
Then we change it. The itinerary bends around the weather, how you are feeling and what you are actually enjoying. If you want to sit at the lookout for an hour instead of moving on, that is a good day out, not a problem.
Can I do a shorter day?
The three tours are built as eight-hour days and a custom tour has an eight-hour minimum. If you want something shorter, ask for an appointment and errands day instead — those are quoted by the hour.
Can a group of us go together?
Yes, and it works out considerably cheaper per person. Group days suit SIL houses and groups of friends. Tell us how many people and what support each of them needs, and we will quote it.
What about accessibility?
Tell us what you need when we talk and we will tell you plainly what we can and cannot do, rather than finding out on the day. Wheelchair access, accessible toilets along the route, quiet spaces and how long you can comfortably be in a car are all things to raise before we plan it. Call 0451 115 196 and ask.

Request a day

Tell us the day you want

This is a request, not a booking — nothing is confirmed and nothing is charged until you have a written quote and have said yes to it. The four questions below are what we need to quote without having to ring you first.

A date, or something like "a Tuesday in December".
The price is the same wherever it is.
I am...
Mobility and accessibility needs, how long is comfortable in a car, places to include or avoid, and how many people if it is a group.

We reply within one business day with a written quote. Nothing is booked or charged until you accept it. See our privacy policy.
