A clean home is a safe home. Care & Culinary delivers NDIS domestic cleaning on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane, so a household stays tidy, safe and comfortable without it falling to family or being left undone.
Is cleaning covered by the NDIS?
Household cleaning is usually funded under Core supports, in the Assistance with Daily Life category, where a participant cannot manage the tasks themselves because of their disability. It is one of the more straightforward supports to get funded, and one of the most commonly underused.
It is worth knowing that Core budgets are generally flexible across most Core categories, so unspent funding elsewhere in Core can often be redirected to cleaning without going back to the NDIA. Our guide to Core Supports and Capacity Building explains how that flexibility works.
What we clean
- Kitchen benches, stovetop, sink and appliances
- Bathrooms, toilets and showers
- Vacuuming and mopping floors
- Dusting and wiping surfaces
- Changing bed linen and laundry
- Taking out rubbish and recycling
- Fridge clean-outs and light decluttering
If there is something on that list you would rather do yourself, say so. The point is a home that works for you, not a standard checklist applied regardless.
How often can you book a clean?
Weekly, fortnightly or as a one-off. Most participants settle on fortnightly, with occasional deeper cleans — but the schedule is yours to set and change.
One-off cleans are also worth knowing about. A clean before an inspection, after a hospital stay, or when a house has got away from somebody is often the thing that resets a situation rather than a standing arrangement.
Why choose our cleaning service
- The same faces. We keep the same cleaner on a household wherever we can, so you are not opening your door to a stranger each fortnight.
- Flexible schedules. Weekly, fortnightly or one-off, and changeable without a fuss.
- Respectful of your space. We clean the way you like it and work around your routines, not over them.
- Combined visits. Meal preparation, shopping or community access can be added to the same visit, which usually makes better use of a budget than booking them separately.
What does NDIS cleaning cost?
Cleaning is charged at an hourly rate capped by the NDIS price guide, which sets the maximum a registered provider can charge. What a household actually costs depends on its size and how often it is cleaned, so we quote before anything starts.
We will give you a figure per visit in writing, tell you which support category it is claimed against, and say plainly whether your plan has room for it. If it does not, we will tell you that too.
Who we work with
NDIS participants who are plan-managed or self-managed, families and carers arranging support on someone’s behalf, and support coordinators setting up services. Self-funded clients and Home Care Package recipients are welcome as well.
